Cookie Policy

Last updated: 22 May 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They let a site recognize your browser across requests and store information such as session state, preferences, or analytics identifiers. Similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) are covered by the same rules under EU law and are treated identically in this policy.

2. Categories we use

Cabin keeps cookies to the minimum required for the service to work. We group them into two categories.

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

  • cabin_session signed JWT in an HttpOnly cookie. Keeps you logged in for 30 days. Without it the app cannot identify you, so it is not optional.
  • cabin_consent stores your cookie banner choice so we do not ask again. Expires after 12 months.

2.2 Analytics (opt-in)

Cabin does not currently set analytics cookies. If we add them in the future (for example to count anonymous page views), they will be off by default and only loaded after you choose Accept all or enable Analytics in Cookie settings.

We will never use a cookie wall: refusing optional cookies does not block access to the site or the service. Only strictly necessary cookies are required to use Cabin.

3. Third-party cookies

When you start a paid subscription you are redirected to Stripe Checkout on checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies on its domain to detect fraud and keep your session there. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies, not ours.

We do not embed third-party trackers, ad networks, or social-media pixels on the Cabin app itself.

4. Managing your choice

On your first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject all, and Customize with equal prominence. Reject all keeps only strictly necessary cookies in one click, the same as accepting.

You can change your preferences at any time using in the footer of marketing pages and the homepage, or via the Customize flow in the banner. Disabling strictly necessary cookies in the browser will log you out and prevent the app from working.
